When you get your money back, how much, and how long it takes.

Draft — pending legal review. This document was prepared from how BlueCoordex actually operates, but it has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer and BlueCoordex is not yet incorporated. Treat it as a good-faith statement of intent rather than a final agreement. Questions? Ask us — the contact route is at the bottom of this page.

What you are charged

Depending on the service, a booking can include up to four separate charges. They are refunded differently, so it helps to know which is which:

  • Platform feeWhat BlueCoordex charges for coordinating the booking.
  • Visiting / site feeWhat a provider charges to travel to you and assess the work.
  • Service chargeThe cost of the work itself.
  • Material costParts and materials the provider supplies.

Each applicable charge is shown to you before you confirm a booking.

Cancelling a booking

  • Before a provider is assigned — cancel free of charge. Everything you paid is refunded in full.
  • After assignment, before the provider travels — the platform fee may be retained. The visiting fee and service charge are refunded.
  • After the provider has travelled to you — the visiting or site fee is payable, because that work was genuinely done. The service charge is refunded.
  • After work has begun — you pay for the work completed and any materials already used. The balance is refunded.

When we refund in full

You get everything back, including the platform fee, if:

  • No provider was available for your request.
  • The provider did not turn up, and did not give reasonable notice.
  • The provider cancelled after accepting your booking.
  • You were charged twice, or charged for a booking you did not make.
  • The service delivered was materially different from what you booked.

If the work was not up to standard

Tell us within 48 hours of the job finishing. We will investigate with the provider, and depending on what we find we will arrange one of: a return visit to put it right at no extra cost, a partial refund reflecting what was not delivered, or a full refund of the service charge.

Materials already installed and consumed are generally not refundable, though a faulty part is the provider's responsibility to replace.

Education services

Courses and workshops are priced individually and refunded on their own terms, which are shown at the point of booking:

  • Cancel more than 48 hours before the first session — full refund.
  • Cancel within 48 hours of the first session — the first session’s fee may be retained.
  • After a course has begun — refunds are pro-rated for sessions not yet delivered.
  • A session cancelled by the tutor or institute is always rescheduled or refunded in full.

What is not refundable

  • Work that was completed as booked and to standard.
  • A visiting fee where the provider travelled to you as arranged.
  • Materials already installed or consumed, unless faulty.
  • A booking you did not attend and did not cancel, where the provider was ready and waiting.

How to request a refund

Contact us on WhatsApp, by email, or by phone with your booking reference and what went wrong. You do not need to fill in a form. We acknowledge every request within 24 hours and aim to decide within 3 working days, telling you the reason either way.

How long refunds take

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Once we release the refund, the payment gateway and your bank typically take 5–7 working days to post it to your account. That final step is outside our control.

Still not resolved?

If you are unhappy with our decision, reply and ask for it to be escalated — a second person will review it. Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
